Tips on How to Promote Your Real Estate Website
Having a website alone isn't enough to increase your online business. After all, a website's totally useless if no ones able to find it. You have to promote your site every chance you get in order to attract a steady stream of new clients.
There are plenty of opportunities including eNewsletters, for sale signs, business cards, newspaper ads, calendars, magnets, brochures, feature sheets, letterhead, envelopes, fax cover sheets, benches, billboards, radio ads, etc. You can even promote it on your voice mail.
Instead of just mentioning your sites domain name, give them a reason to visit by saying something like, Visit www.MySite.com to receive updates on homes that match your criteria as soon as they hit the market! You've got to sell it!
Your email signature (the default text that automatically shows up at the bottom of each email you send) is another great place to promote your website. Creating a clickable signature varies depending on the email program you use but it's usually very easy. Just click Tools, Options and then Signatures or click on the Help tab for instructions.
The above points are important but nothing compares to having great search engines spots! Submit your website to a few local directories so that the search engines will find them when they "spider" (index) the web. Make sure your real estate board and any other associations you belong to link to your site.
Once that's done, work on tweaking your site's content and title tags so that popular search terms such as "your city real estate" flow naturally throughout your site. If your site contains popular phrases that people search for AND is well linked, the search engines spots will eventually come! Be patient though as it can take up to 6 months or so.
